US History -  Students are to read Section 3 of Chapter 10 (pages 340 - 347). Today, there was no assignment because counselors came to speak to all 11th grade students about requirements for next academic year.



Econ - Beginning Chapter 2 ("Economic Systems").

Today's assignment was to read Section 1 of Chapter 2 (pages 32 - 40), and answer questions 1 - 6 on page 40.

Econ - In-class review on Chapter 1. This is for students to study ONLY. This is not an assignment to be handed in, however, students who are absent will receive the handouts when they return.

The Chapter 1 test is scheduled for Monday, January 30.

Econ - Covering Section 3 of Chapter 1 "Basic Economic Language." Students are to answer questions 1 - 5, page 27. Also, the Section called "Doing the Math" on Page 29 -- Answer questions 1 and 2.

}To do this, you will need to read the entire section from pages 324 – 330.

}Answer questions 4, 5, and 6 on Page 330.

Econ - Covering Section 2 of Chapter 1 (pages 13 - 21) "The Economic Way of Thinking." Students are to answer questions 1 - 6, page 21.

US History -  Continuing Section 1 of Chapter 10. Today's assignment was:


}Complete the Note Taking Study Guide. Handouts are available in class.
}To do this, you will need to read the entire section from pages 324 – 330.
}In addition, explain in at least one sentence for EACH TERM the IMPORTANCE of each of the six “Terms and People” on Page 330.

Econ - Continuing Section 1 of Chapter 1. Students were given a handout from this section to complete. It is due Monday, January 23.

US History - Today we had an in-class US Geography game for participation points. Students who were absent will be excused from this activity.

This week, we are reading Section 1 of Chapter 10 (pages 324 - 300), Dictators and War.

Students were assigned the following two "Quick Questions" to write answers to (due Friday, January 20):


1. List the names of the leaders (at the start of WW2) of the following: Soviet Union, Germany, Italy, and the U.S.
2. Who were the Axis and Allied Powers at the Start of WW2?


Econ - Today, we covered the topic "What is Economics" from Chapter 1, Section 1.

Students were assigned the reading (pages 6 - 12), and also required to answer questions 1 - 6 on page 12.
