January 17 - 25



US History:
  • January 17 -- Read Section 1, Chapter 10 (pages 324 - 330). Today, students wrote answers to 2 "Quick Questions":
  • 1) Name the leaders at the beginning of WW2 of the following countries: Germany, Italy, Soviet Union,and 2) List the Axis Powers and the Allies at the start of WW2
  • January 18 -- Read Section 1, Chapter 10 (pages 324 - 330). Answer questions 1, 4, 5, and 6, page 330
  • January 22 -- Begin Section 2, Chapter 10 (pages 331 - 338). Students completed an in-class graphic organizer activity dealing with events in Germany, the USSR, Italy, and Japan during the 1930s (handout available in classroom).
  • January 23 -- Read pages 331 - 338. Answer 1, 4, 5, and 6, page 338
  • January 24 -- Read 340 - 347. Answer questions 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6, page 347
  • January 25 -- In-class review of Chapter 10: Page 350, answer questions 6 - 16
  • January 28 -- Test, Chapter 10

Mod Civ:

This week, students have been learning about the Russian Revolution. The reading from the book is from page 375 to page 381





  • January 18 -- Students completed the timeline assignment on page 99 of their workbooks
  • January 22 -- We finished Chapter 11. Students who did not complete their timelines last week completed them today.  
  • January 23 -- Students began an open-book test reviewing Chapter 11 (which they started before Winter Break)
  • January 24 -- Complete Chapter 11 Test, Begin Chapter 12
